Review:
What initially drew me to the book was the stunning cover, so unique and the colour scheme is beautiful. I found A Dragonbird in the Fern to be an enjoyable read from start to finish.
The world building was beautiful and created an easy to imagine, vivid landscape. The character descriptions were pretty vague but that didnāt bother me, it left room for my imagination. The elephant bird things though⦠I want more of them𤣠there was one plot point that was definitely vital but for me it was frustrating by the 4th time it happened because you knew what would happen but thatās just my personal opinion.
I enjoyed the slow-burn romance and the way they worked around their language barriers to communicate.
Overall a lovely read that I think many fantasy fans will enjoy.
