This book starts with a dramatic first chapter that leaves you in a bit of a mystery and entices you to read on! The writing style is lovely and so easy to follow, the little jokes peppered here and there are fun. I can really relate to Fens people pleasing ways, struggling to say no. It’s a personality trait I share.
Theres a mystery to be solved throughout the book and I loved that journey! A satisfying resolution to mystery that literally made me cheer.
A lovely cosy read for winter that will leave you wanting to uproots and move to the village!
